Surprising Turn of Events: A Blessing I'll Never Forget!

Last night was a wild night.



I was in the chat room at Sweetie's Sweeps talking to Alicia, a new friend I made the other day, and a few other people while I was playing the instant win game on Mycokerewards.com for a 4-pk of Six Flags tickets. I was whining about how badly I wanted to win those tickets and how I had been trying to get them all week.



Why?



Well, first of all...my kids have never been to Six Flags and I haven't even been there in nine years. Being on a strict budget this year, we can't justify just taking off on a trip like that and paying over $160 for tickets to get in. I so wanted to be able to take them to do something fun like that, since we know there will be no vacation this year.



And second...and most importantly...Drake Bell is in concert there tomorrow! If you have ever watched Drake & Josh on Nickelodeon, you know that Drake Bell is one of the stars of that show and a really great singer! I knew that if I could surprise my kids will a Drake Bell concert, they would just FLIP OUT!



So, all week...I've been trying to get those tickets...to no avail.



Anyway, back to the chat room.



So, Alicia and I were joking about how people who didn't have a Six Flags nearby should try to win the tickets for me. Well...I was joking...sort of. Turns out, she was not! It was literally about five seconds later when she said, "You are not going to believe this..." She had WON the tickets!! I couldn't believe it...and the next thing I knew she was asking for my email address. Before I could figure out what was happening, she had actually EMAILED me the prize! Within minutes, I was able to print off FOUR TICKETS TO SIX FLAGS! I didn't know what to say! I was absolutely flabbergasted. I cried. I gushed. I thanked her a gazillion times.



I am still amazed that out of the goodness of her heart, Alicia just gave me those tickets. We barely know each other! That sweet 20-year-old girl really blessed my socks off last night!! I am praying, and I hope you will too, that she is immensely blessed for her kindness.



I LOVE YOU, ALICIA!!



So, tomorrow morning, unbeknownst to the kids, we are heading to St. Louis! We are keeping it a complete surprise and I cannot wait to see their reaction when they find out! They will love going to Six Flags...and seeing Drake Bell....well, that's just icing on the cake!! :-)



God is so good. He cares about all of the details in our lives. He knows the desires of our hearts and he wants to fulfil them. I believe that he orchestrated even this. I know it may sound silly to some, but that's how much he loves his children. I am so thankful that he made this happen. :-)
